Chinese Language Pack Windows 10
Starting with Windows 10 build 18262, there is now separate options for installing the language pack and setting the language as the Windows display language. There is also separate options for installing the Speech recognition and Text-to-speech features, when these features are available for the language. Windows 10 (1809) Language Packs Does anyone know where to find Language Packs for Windows 10 (1809)? I have had a look at VLSC but the LPs available under 'Windows 10 Enterprise Language Pack' date back to November 2015 (same story with the 'Windows 10 Professional Language Pack' item. The default Chinese 'region' choices are mainland China and Hong Kong for most users of an English-language Windows release. Microsoft has put the Traditional character display language pack downloads only in the Hong Kong settings. (Unlike Windows 8 the Taiwan and Macau locales do offer the handwriting feature, and all include speech.). For more information, see Language packs. The version of the language, LIP, or Feature on Demand must match the version number. For example, you can neither add a Windows 10 version 1809 LIP to Windows 10 version 1803 image, nor add a Windows Server 2019 language pack to Windows Server 2016. Re: Windows 1903 language pack It would seem Microsoft don't know either which is quite typical. On one hand they want to take most controls away from users, Windows 10 home is like windows for dummies, which is fine.
For a list of language packs that are available for Windows 10 Version 1511, see Language packs. Device manufacturers can find details about deployment options for language packs at Add Language Packs to Windows.
In order to inject language packs into Windows 10, we first need to mount our Windows 10 ISO and then inject our .cab language pack file. The Language packs are available from Microsoft’s Volume licensing portal or alternatively you can download it using the following website, you must convert the language file from this website, all of which is stated step by step: https://www.itechtics.com/windows-10-version-1809.
- Create a WIM file directory
- Copy your original WIM to c:wim
- Create a Mount directory
- Create a temp directory
- Create a directory to temporary store your cab files

- Find what index the Windows 10 Enterprise SKU is within the WIM File:
- Mount the WIM file using the required Index number, I am using Index 3 Windows 10 Enterprise:
To find out what the current language is set to on your Windows 10 image type the following command:
There are multiple language files for Windows so you may repeat this step for each language file.
Now we need to set the language to en-GB as default. To do this we will run the below commands.
And Finally I always like setting the time to your locale, mine is GMT Standard Time for the UK.
Lastly we need to update the lang.ini file which tells Windows what languages are available when doing installations such as upgrades. Run the below command to generate a new lang.ini file.
That’s all for now folks, let me know how you get on in the comments below.
Thanks
